Gadgebots are first introduced to the series in the first game. They are little robots that are controlled by Clank, first rescued them from little glass cages and can be found in a few levels throughout the game. Clank has a list of commands that he can give them, which he can select from a list. They need to be in a close distance to Clank before they can see the command and execute it.

Gadgebots return to the series once again, overtaking the role of the Microbots in Going Commando. They are again controlled by Clank, and have the same list of commands as the first game.

After not being in Deadlocked, Gadgebots make a return to the series in Size Matters. They are again controlled by Clank, and have the same list of commands as past games.
