Description: This weapon shoots small fireballs which fire in a straight line before falling in an arc to the ground. They are weak, but the rate of fire and ammo capacity make up for it.

Unique Mod: Pyrocidic Precipitation - When a fireball falls to the ground, either from falling or from bouncing off an enemy, the ground will be set alight for a few seconds and will burn any enemy that walks through it.

Description: This weapon fires 3 fireballs in one shot through an angle of about 30 degrees, with the centre fireball shooting straight ahead. The damage on 3 fireballs does not stack on one enemy, but can be useful if you are an inaccurate shooter or are killing off multiple enemies.

Description: A glove weapon that enables ratchet to throw thermonuclear hand grenades quickly. The bombs have a short range and low ammo capacity, but a decent rate of fire and a large blast radius. The grenades are fairly powerful at the start of the game, but can quickly become weak later in the game.

Unique Mod: Concussion Detonators - When an enemy is hit by the blast from this weapon, they are knocked down and stunned for a couple of seconds, giving you strategical advantage in a difficult position. Very useful against large groups of tough enemies.

Description: When the grenades thrown from this weapon explode, they release a large cluster of tiny bouncing bombs that will seek out nearby enemies and obliterate them. Very useful for taking out some of the stronger enemies that the primary blast alone cannot handle.

Description: A melee weapon that swipes an electrified cord around Ratchet. It also causes an energy wave to travel across the ground and hit other enemies behind the target. Not very powerful, but nontheless effective in crowded situations, especially against shielded enemies. Cannot harm electrified enemies.

Unique Mod: Voltage Multiplier - The energy wave will have a longer reach, as will the actual whip. Simple and effective.

Description: Using Quantum Lightning power to strike enemies down, the shockwave is replaced with arcing lightning bolts which can arc from one enemy to another to another, etc. therefore greatly increasing the usefulness in dense combat against many enemies.

Description: A very inventive weapon, this weapon fires single disks which create controllable (via the SIXAXIS) tornadoes. The tornadoes will continually damage any enemies near or in it, and when an enemy is severely weakened, will kill it by sucking it up. The tornadoes will also suck up bolts, raritanium and debris, and destroy nearby crates. Just be aware that the disk is hard to control, and takes a while to get used to.

Unique Mod: Gyro Turbine - This useful mod stabilises the disks which create the tornadoes, resulting in tornadoes which last twice as long as before and effectively doubling the tornadoes' power.

Description: The tornadoes are larger than before, darker than before, and fire 900-Gigavolt ligthning bolts at any enemy in the vicinity with tremendous force. This upgrade to a unique weapon is very powerful, but still as hard to control as ever, so be aware of that when using this weapon.

Description: This weapon has similar power as a combustor of the same level, but is much faster. Firing speeding shurikens that home in on enemies and bounce off walls and enemies, this weapon has a rate of fire of 8 Discs a seconds, making it one of the fastest weapons in any Ratchet and Clank game. Not the most effective weapon for wide-spread crows control, but useful against larger single, unshielded enemies, and the rocochet feature makes it more effective in tightly-packed groups or small rooms/tunnels.

Unique Mod: Cesium Blade Edges - Whenever a disc sticks to a wall or enemy, the blade will explode and deal extra damage. This is not as useful as it sounds, because only about one in ten discs will stick and explode anywhere - but since several successful explosions can destroy a shield and deal extra damage to unshielded foes it can become very useful later in the game. Early on it is pretty much useless.

Description: The blades are now coated in a form of Hydrochlric Acid, which is a very effective acid and can burn through most enemies quickly. It may not be as strong as it sounds, but once this is bought, this weapon's effectiveness against bosses and large unshielded foes is nearly unmatched (that is, until you get the three 'power weapons').

Description: Charge this weapon up against multiple enemies, and one rocket will lock onto each of the enemies until you cannot lock on to any more. The number of enemies you can lock onto can be increased with the use of Raritanium mods. The rockets are not very strong, but are very useful against huge enemies (Leviathans, Grunthors, Enforcers etc.) and bosses since they usually have multiple lock-ons on their bodies, which can each be targeted with a rocket at the same time. Note that the Predator Rockets will not lock onto drophyds when they are out of their mechs.

Unique Mod: Dual-Target Detectors - This useful upgrade allows you to lock-on 2 rockets onto each target, effectively doubling the damage you can deal per shot. Very useful against powerful enemies, but it can be a bad thing sometimes due to the low ammo capacity being drained twice as quickly as before. Be careful.

Description: Each rocket now holds a burst of hot, sticky napalm which will splash out in a small area around the target when a rocket explodes. This will burn any enemy who walks through it with a surprisingly large amount of damage. Useful in many situations, but ineffective against flying enemies.

Description: A powerful, but very slow weapon that is charged up for a couple of seconds, then released to send an enormously powerful laser to your target. This can destroy all but the most powerful enemies in one shot, which is good because of the horrible ammo capacity. Obviously, this is really only to be used against very dangerous enemies or bosses, and only sparingly unless you are close to a vendor or a stack of ammo crates. Seriously, if the V1 power level doesn't get your mouth watering - This weapon is more powerful at V1 than any other weapon is at V5 - then the two incredible upgrades for this weapon will.

Unique Mod: Anti-Matter Transfluxor - By focusing the particles of the beam more closely and using quantum energy to reconfigure the molecular structure in the target, the beam will now pass through the target while still damaging it just as heavily as before, and hit anything behind the target with equal force. This greatly improves its usefulness against multiple enemies on the last few planets, and in the arena matches a must!

Description: The fearsome firepower of the lasers produced by this weapon is greatly improved by creating a large explosion (similar size to a fusion grenade explosion, but blue in colour) upon contact with every enemy it makes contact with, including ones behind the enemy hit by the Anti-Matter Transfluxor. According to GrummelNet: "If any enemy is standing within 12 cubits of the target, rest assured you won't be seeing them in the sequel."

Description: The classic flamethrower weapon, like the Pyrocitor from the original game but far more powerful. Its usefulness is limited by its short range, but it can be increased by buying raritanium mods, and its power and ammo capacity are well worth the cost - The ammo actually takes about 2 seconds to go down by one, so you can effectivly kill many more than 30 enemies before you run out of ammo.

Unique Mod: Superheated Fuel Injector - By adding an extra canister of superheated fuel to the nozzle of the weapon, the flame spurted out of this weapon become far larger, and can hit enemies over a wider range of angles. Great for taking down groups of enemies with a single flame much more quickly than normal.

Description: This weapon boasts two streams of fire which spin around and intertwine, creating a much larger flame. Very powerful, great for killing multiple enemies in one burst very quickly, and when coupled with the Superheated fuel Injector, becomes the largest flame ever seen on a flamethrower weapon. Look onwards in awe as you burn down multiple enemies far larger than you in a matter of seconds.

[edit] Plasma Beasts

Description: A fairly useful weapon with good power, this glove allows you to toss down globs of green plasma onto the ground. When an enemy comes close, the globs will very quickly expand and mutate into plasma creatures which instantly jump towards your enemies and explode. The explosion is fairly large, and sends plasma flying through the air in a radius aroudn the target, damaging nearby enemies. Great for taking down large groups of medium-strength enemies, but slower than other weapons, and the ammo supply will leave you wanting far more. Note that the Plasma Beasts WILL attack drophyds that are out of their mechs (useful for raritanium harvesting, but drains ammo quickly)

Unique Mod: Proximity Sensors - The plasma beasts on the ground will be activated from enemies much further away, destroying your enemies mcuh morre quickly and giving them less time to kill you before being wiped out. Useful, but not really needed except maybe for leviathan hunting on the Nundac Asteroid Ring where the Leviathans float quite a distance away.

Description: Any plasmas you threw down which have not been activated will burrow underground and follow you, popping back up to the surface to face attacking enemies no matter how far you have walked. They even follow you across gaps! This saves you wasted ammo, but after a few minutes they will stop following you if you have not encountered enemies.

Description: A shotgun that fired shards of Trillium Ore at enemies, which stick to enemies and cause good damage at close range, while causing less damage at a medium range. A useful weapn early on, but may find itself being outclassed by some weapons pretty quickly.

Unique Mod: Pyrocidic Nano-Clusters - this useful modification adds tiny but highly explosive clusters of nanobots into every shard, which, shortly after sticking to any enemy, will detonate and highly compound the damage dealt to any foe. An excellent choice for the power-hungry, and unlike the initial shot, these clusters can damage shields! A must-have midway in-game, such as on Rykan V where many enemies have shields and increased armor.

Description: This upgraded shotgun weapon fired shards of Trillium Ore packed tight with Liquid Nitrogen. Once the shards stick into enemies, the Liquid Nitrogen is released, freezing enemies on the spot temporarily. Very useful against normal opponents, but larger enemies will take a few shots before they are frozen, and the effect is completely useless against bosses or Leviathans.

Description: Fires powerful, single-shot rockets that spiral very quickly towards enemies and explode on impact. Very useful weapon for taking out powerful single enemies, or tightly-packed groups of enemies due to the decent-size explosion this weapon causes.

Unique Mod: Napalm Cells - Whenever a rocket explodes, it will send a burst of sticky, burning napalm in a radius around the target. This napalm will burn any enemy who is foolish enough to walk through it. A fairly good mod, but since the spread is small compared with the napalm from the Raptors (very little napalm is released in this mod), your resources could be spent on better investments.
