Name: Big Al

Description: Big Al has been around since the beginning of the series and has helped in every game in a different way. Mainly he has been the electronics expert who throughout the games has helped out Ratchet and Clank with weird and wonderful gadgets, like Clank upgrades in the first game. In UYA he continues his role as the electronics expert who helps Ratchet and Clank with various tasks.

Captain Qwark

Name: Captain Qwark

Description: Qwark has returned again with a bang. When you meet him he is living in a tribe with a bunch of monkeys, but things quickly change as you battle your way through 5 arcade Vid-Comics that restore Qwark’s lost memory of his life and his past battle with Doctor Nefarious. Soon after his memory is restored, he joins the Q Force team and leads them in the attack against Doctor Nefarious.

Clank

Name: Clank

Description: Ratchet's robot sidekick is back and as a movie star! Since Going Commando, Clank has turned into a well known star in movie business for a series called Secret Agent Clank, which means that he gets all the credit in saving the world. With the heli-pack and thruster-pack, Clank helps Ratchet reach higher heights as they battle to defeat Doctor Nefarious. His Giant Clank form is also back,and it is more destructive than ever.

Courtney Gears

Name: Courtney Gears

Description:She is the pop star of the universe (which resembles Britney Spears) who gives out the awards when participants reach the end of Annihilation Nation. Courtney grabs Ratchet's attention with her stunning looks, not for her singing ability. Ratchet and Clank must go to her for information about Nefarious, but they soon realize that Courtney is working for Nefarious and they have to deal with her to.

Doctor Nefarious

Name: Doctor Nefarious

Description: The main bad guy of the game. He is a sly cunning alien type robot-creature who plans to take over the world and destroy the Squishy race (organic life forms) with the help of the Squishies themselves, who aren’t very intelligent. As he, his sidekick and his enormous Biobliterator advance through the world it is the job of the Q Force and Ratchet and Clank to stop him before the world is lost! Also Nefarious secretly loves the Secret Agent Clank show and has tried out for Galactic Idol.

Galactic Rangers

Name: Galactic Rangers

Description: The Galactic Rangers help Ratchet fend off the Squishy attacks on various planets when they arise. Though they are cowardly, they do offer some needed help when Ratchet is being bombarded by the Squishies. They even offer some helpful weapons and gadgets when an attack is averted.

Helga

Name: Helga

Description: Helga might be big and fat but that doesn't mean she isn't pumped with energy and enthusiasm. She is the brutish germanic fitness and training specialist and it is her job to get Ratchet and Clank into tip top shape as they save the world. She does this by offering her assistance to the Phoenix and trains up Ratchet using battle simulators.

Name: Lawrence

Description: Every sly cunning evil boss needs their own sidekick don't they? Well Lawrence is Nefarious' sidekick. With his guitar he adds laughter to the game as he constently mocks Nefarious's stupidness.

Ratchet

Name: Ratchet

Description: The star of the game. This furball has been travelling the world in 3 games now stopping enemy threats from destroying mankind. As Ratchet teams up with Clank they get in to all sorts of trouble and take deadly situations like a walk through a park. This time around Ratchet travels from planet to planet alongslide Clank his companion in the quest to defeat Doctor Nefarious.

Skidd Mcmarxx

Name: Skidd Mcmarxx

Description: Skidd is the character that slacks and plays about all his life. He is the "cool" character, who is always laid back and has no worries. Previously a hoverboard champion from the first Ratchet and Clank game, Skidd returns yet again to the series, this time to provide help to Ratchet and Clank throughout the game.

Skrunch

Name: Skrunch

Description: Skrunch is introduced into the game when Ratchet and Clank find the monkey in the forest with Captain Quark. He joins the Q-Force and provides help to Clank in exchange for bananas. On planets where Ratchet uses the Turbo Slider, such as on Thyrranosis, Scrunch controls the vehicles gun.

Thyrranoid

Name: Thyrranoid

Description: The Thyrranoids are the cute little new race of characters in the game. They come in many shapes and sizes, but watch out because the bigger they get, the deadlier they get. They are not very smart as you can tell because they are helping Nefarious with his evil plan to eliminate all Squishies (organics) in the universe, and they are in fact organics themselves. So, by helping Nefarious, they will eventually eliminate themselves.
